You can probably find most of these items around the garage. Now you are ready to begin assembling your homemade sandblaster.

First, connect the air hose to the bottom of your air gun. Make sure it is properly connected and will not easily detach itself. If your hose is slightly bigger than it should be, you can simply duct tape it down for a more secure fit.

Next, use your duct tape or electrical tape to connect the end of the hose to the inside of your bucket. Leave about an inch of space between the hose and the bottom of the bucket, but other than this, size doesn’t matter. You can use a large plastic bucket or a smaller coffee can. Even if your bucket is large, the tape will keep the hose in place, which is all that matters.

Fill up the bucket with some sand. You want the sand grains to be very fine, because this will ensure as much sand flows through the hose as possible. Now you are ready to use your homemade sandblaster. Cover or remove all surrounding areas that you do not want to sandblast. Once all of your protective gear is on securely, aim the air gun at whatever surface you want to blast, and pull the trigger. Sand will be sucked up the rubber hose and be released forcefully out of the gun’s nozzle.
